  • New Charlotte terminal area will ease checkpoint congestion
North Carolina’s Charlotte International Airport on Saturday will open a 60,000-square-foot terminal area that includes five additional security checkpoints. The new area will relieve congestion at the current checkpoints during peak travel times, especially for passengers arriving on international flights, according to airport officials. "It’s all about getting through faster," said aviation director Jerry Orr. "This will make life a lot easier for international arrivals." The Charlotte Observer (N.C.)
