  • Montana airport gets OK for private screening
The Transportation Security Administration approved Montana’s Glacier Park International Airport’s plan to privatize airport security. Airport officials say a private company would hire and train security workers faster and create more flexibility for the airport. The TSA will now create a request for proposals in its effort to designate a private firm to take over security. "TSA will only award a contract to a qualified provider for security screening services at an airport if the procurement maintains security and is cost-effective," TSA spokeswoman Lorie Dankers said.
