  • TSA operations are back to normal at NYC-area airports
    The Transportation Security Administration says its security efforts are fully operational and at normal levels at LaGuardia Airport, Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport. Closures and disruptions caused by superstorm Sandy required the TSA to bring in nearly 280 agents from other airports and another 164 volunteer personnel to maintain uninterrupted security screenings at the affected airports.   • Air marshals train for accuracy in Atlantic City

  • Procedures are canceled at some airports to cut costs
    In an effort to cut costs, the Federal Aviation Administration plans to announce a program to cancel approaches at some airports where they are rarely used.
